Skyla is in class 9B, she came from England and has lived in Portugal for 9 years. During all this time she has lived here, she has noticed that there are many more people in England and there are many differences there: in England there are many gangs, and that is why her mother took her away from there a long time ago.
Regarding the similarities between the two countries, there aren't many, but people there talk to each other a lot, just like here.
At school, what she likes most is the friends she's made here. The fact that students in Portuguese schools don't have to wear uniforms like in her country impressed her. When it comes to studying, she finds reading the most difficult because she thinks it's very hard, while English is easier.
Skyla misses her family, her grandparents, who stayed in England and she doesn't get to see them very often. However, she believes that foreigners can integrate well in Portugal, even though she feels there are racist and prejudiced people, but most are good people.
The student would prefer that the teachers understand her better and help her improve her ability to read the questions on the tests, as reading is the part where she has the most difficulty.
