Elian is from Argentina, he's in 10th grade and has lived here for almost 3 years. He says that Argentina and Portugal have more differences than similarities. Regarding the differences, he says, the way people are, their mentality, and the traditional food are points of divergence between these countries. But the points where they converge are football and tourism.

Here, he likes his friends, and for him, friendship is the best thing about school. Education, from his point of view, is very different because studying here is more difficult, but he affirms, "that's how students learn much more." When asked if he felt any difficulty studying or learning the Portuguese language, he replied that he felt more difficulty in the subjects of Geography and History, adding that studying could be easier.

For this reason, Elian wanted the study to be simpler and the teachers to be more understanding.
The student's family and friends are the main reasons he misses home and what he misses most in Portugal. But he thinks that the integration of a foreigner in Portugal depends on themselves; some integrate more easily and quickly, others don't. In his case, he mentions that it was more or less the same.
