Joaquin is Alma's brother. They came together from Argentina, so he has also been here in Portugal for almost two years and studies in 7th grade. He thinks that the main differences between these two countries are the food and sport. Regarding the similarities, and contrary to what his sister thinks, he says that religion is more or less the same.

Joaquin likes the teachers at this school better, as they are better than those in Argentina. His first impression of this school was that it is bigger than the schools in his country, as the buildings here have two floors and there is a library, among other things.

Missing traditional food is a common factor among emigrants who move abroad, and this was also the case with Joaquin. Even so, he thinks that foreigners can adapt well in Portugal, as he said, ‘they pay well and everything :)’.

Even though the Portuguese language is quite similar to Spanish, the student says he needs more support in mathematics and other foreign languages, such as English and French, which could make his studies easier.
